- best products for fine hair.
- recently, i gave ramona her first haircut (a bang trim, really).

- the populist was recognized as being one of the best new restaurants in denver this past year by 5280 magazine! we’re so honored. (that’s my talented chef pictured below!)
photos by carmel zucker. from pages 52 & 53 in the march 2013 issue of 5280 Magazine.
- next holiday up is easter. i’ve got some ideas brewing, including a lamb lunch and an easter egg hunt!
- interesting video on the beauty of meeting strangers.
- megan always has such helpful posts: fighting little colds [naturally].
- the best short story i’ve never read: amy bloom’s “silver waters”, an incredible moving and hilarious story about sisters and family. (click through to minute mark 28). you will sob.

- if you’re only going to read one article from this week’s list of links, read this one: suffering fools gladly.
- i always got in trouble in school for not acting demure enough or polite enough but still i’m glad my parents’ end game wasn’t to make sure i was perfectly obedient. is raising obedient children the best thing?
- we’ve all heard the incredibly moving fresh air interview with maurice sendak. now you can see it: illustrated excerpts from the new york times magazine.
- breastfed babies more temperamental? i’d have to say this article rings a bit true with my experience with ramona. but i don’t think it gives enough credit to genes and innate personalities.
- i’m particularly proud of this one: denver’s westword gives a nod to the populist and its neighborhood as the number one culinary story of 2012 in denver.
