oh hi! you remember r.l. linden? they are my new favorite skincare line and they just keep concocting and producing the absolute best products. and they’re from denver! stay tuned for an updated toiletry tuesday on how i use some of their items. but for now, let’s welcome them as new sponsors on A Denver Home Companion! we’re celebrating with a giveaway of their roll-on unisex perfume, ironwood no. 1. this was a collaboration with the denver store ironwood and features the amazing scent of palo santo, which just makes me swoon. so it’s a bonus that my love, jp, likes to wear it (and this says a lot bc he has never worn a scent before).
to be entered to win, please visit r.l. linden and tell me what product you’d be interested in trying. for more entries, share this giveaway, like them on facebook and twitter. and for even MORE entries, like me on facebook! make sure to leave an extra comment for each additional entry. (if you already follow us on other social platforms, that counts too!) i’ll contact the winner this friday, on valentine’s day.
we are a pickle family. there is always a jar of some in our fridge. not the sort you can get on an unrefrigerated grocery shelf. no. never. the good kind. the kind that has funk and spices and crunch to it and is usually found in the deli section. so imagine my delight when i discovered the real dill pickles, made in denver. they’ve got funk, they’ve got punch, they’ve got tang, they’ve got spice, they’ve got crunch.
i first tried them at the populist pop-up holiday market and ramona and i kept sneaking back to their table to steal samples. i have sworn to justin, one of the owners, that i will never buy another sort of pickle again. this is a promise i am confident i can keep. justin is offering colorado readers of A Denver Home Companion the chance to win a jar of pickles as well as a jar of their bloody mary mix (you best believe when this baby is out i will be drinking my fair share of that during weekend brunches).
leave a comment below about what you most admire in a pickle or, if you’ve had the real dill, what your favorite flavor is. for more chances to win like them on facebook (please leave a separate comment for this). a winner will be announced next monday, 2/3.
don’t win this giveaway? that shouldn’t deter you from picking up a jar of your own. check their website to see what grocer near you stocks them.
p.s. the real dill is one of the sponsors of the upcoming colorado makers pig roast hosted by the populist on sunday, 2/9. we are so very excited to partner with them and showcase their delicious pickles next to a juicy roasted pig (c/o tender belly). interested in attending? tickets are going fast. get more details and purchase tickets here.
dear readers, please let me introduce you to A Denver Home Companion’s new featured sponsor, eBags! my friend and neighbor, tran, works for eBags as their social media manager and she thought our two brands would be a good fit. i was not entirely familiar with the company at first but have since spent some time (way too much time!) clicking through their site (and drooling and swooning and coveting) and i’ve gotta say: they have great bags, enticing prices, and free shipping to boot! there’s really something for everyone from designer handbags to diaper bags to sunglasses to luggage.
i have some trips coming up so i made a wish list of items i’d like to have to be able to pack efficiently and travel in style, all found on eBags.
in honor of this sponsorship, eBags is offering readers of A Denver Home Companion the chance to win this beautiful piazza mercato tote in nutmeg and black from eBags’ private label, valued at $199.99. simply leave a comment below with what you would use this bag for.
i’ll announce the winner on monday, december 17th. as always, you can earn extra entries by tweeting, pinning, facebooking, or blogging this giveaway (please leave a separate comment for each instance w a link to where else you’ve shared it!). thanks tran and eBags!
max‘s mom told me about a colorado-based company, artifact uprising, that takes your instagram photos and turns them into beautiful books. well, actually, it let’s YOU take your photos (instagram or otherwise) and turn them into beautiful books. we all know how much i love instagram (i use it way more than my fancy-schmancy camera) and how much i LOVE local companies, so i went to their website and ordered some books for myself.
i went for the simple softcover, instagram-friendly books. i got a large (8.5×8.5″) one for our family and some other secret, surprise goodies for christmas presents. when the finished products arrived on my doorstep (quickly too!) i was thrilled by how they turned out and told the company so. i now plan to use artifact uprising for all of my photo album needs (i am done with the days of printing and cutting and cropping and double-stick taping!, which is how all my other photo albums are). seriously. have you seen their hardcover books?! swoon.
and look at this colorado beetle kill pine calendar they offer. i think i may have to order one for the new year.
what a surprise, i was delighted to find out that they enjoy reading my blog! they have kindly offered you, dear reader, a chance to win one of their small, instagram-friendly, softcover books. just in time for the holidays! please leave a comment below with a link to your instagram profile so i can check out your photos! if you don’t have an instagram account, just leave a comment. earn extra entries by tweeting this giveaway, following artifact uprising on facebook, or blogging/pinning the giveaway (please leave a post for each additional entry). a winner will be announced monday, december 3!(this giveaway open to readers located in the usa only).
