my parents sent me home with a 75 year old waffle maker. it’s cast iron and quite the beast. it was my father’s grandmother’s. and then she gave it to my mother and father for their wedding 31 years ago. and then they gave it to jp and i when they splurged on a more fandangled one at costco recently.
on a recent morning, jp made us savory green-chili, corn meal waffles topped with an over-easy egg, greens, tapatio, and some crema. SO GOOD.
