when we first moved to denver, every first saturday of the month jp and i would go to the denver art museum for their first free saturdays. it’s been a while since we’ve been able to go together. first, he was scheduled to work brunch. then the lucky duck got off brunch service and i got put on it! at last, we both are off saturday mornings. so we made a date out of it.
the DAM is surprisingly one of the best museums i have been to in the world. while their modern collection is a bit lacking, their contemporary collection does an amazing job of showcasing recent and local talent while also boasting works from more well-known and classic artists. really. just go visit it for yourself. i’ll meet you there!
