climbing grays
Jonathan and I took Otto to Grays and Torreys, two sister peaks outside of Denver. Our intent was to climb both (up Grays, down the ridge, and back up Torreys) but we forgot that, while the sunshine in Colorado keeps things warms, once you reach the top of a summit at 14k feet with no large mountain to protect you, the wind is COLD. so we nixed Torreys, reveled in our accomplishment, signed the log book, and killed our knees on the hike back down.
Otto was a champ. People seemed quite impressed that such a cutesy looking dog could handle himself so well that high and for that long. And we were quite impressed with ourselves that we were NEVER passed. Let it be known.
